Weather Policies
As a team, we'd like to give our swimmers every opportunity to practice IN the pool, however at times weather dictates that we either hold dry land or cancel practice all together.
If the weather is anything other than lightning / thunder, or below 55 degree air temp, the coaches will hold practice.
Parents should determine how cold is too cold for their swimmer(s). Many swimmers just want to swim- even if it is cold outside. So we would like to give them that opportunity.
All athletes should show up to practices with athletic shoes and work out clothes in addition to their swim suit *every day*. Coaches have the option to add a dry land component to any given practice, either due to weather or otherwise.
In other words---even if it isn’t the greatest weather day, we will still hold swimming practice in the pool. The only reason to cancel practice (dry land or pool) is for thunder/lightning or air temp below 55 degrees.
